Scribner Capital was formed to provide stable capital to owners, operators and developers of seniors housing and healthcare assets. After its formation, Scribner Capital entered into a strategic partnership with Fundamental Advisors LP, a leading alternative asset management firm dedicated to municipal and public purpose investing.

With over 15 years of dedicated senior housing investment experience and 20 years of financial market experience, James Scribner is leveraging his broad industry experience and creativity with institutional capital.

Mr. Scribner's experience includes joint venture equity, mezzanine and first mortgage financing of life plan (entrance fee) communities, rental independent, assisted living and memory care communities, and skilled nursing facilities.

Mr. Scribner has completed senior housing and care financings totaling over $2 billion, including $300 million in equity and subordinate debt and over $750 million in FHA, government agency and first mortgage financings. He also has led over $200 million of restructurings and distressed note purchases.

Mr. Scribner has been an active member of ASHA, Argentum and NIC for over a decade and served as a founding member of the NIC Future Leaders Counsel. He earned his MBA from Columbia University and completed his undergraduate degree in Economics with a concentration in Financial Markets at Colby College.
